Oaks, Carol

Carol Oaks is an active musician and teacher in the Fresno/Clovis area and maintains a very successful piano studio from which many of her students have earned state awards. She holds memberships in MTAC, MTNA, CAPMT & Fresno Musical Club.

As a student of Julliard graduate Dr. Bob Bennett, Carol earned her BA in Music and Masters Degree in Piano Performance, summa cum laude. Later studies were with highly successful concert artist Johana Harris of UCLA, also a Julliard graduate and composer of merit.

Carol served as Adjunct Piano Instructor at Fresno City College and also as Choral Assistant and Accompanist at Clovis High for 18 years. She is founder of the Fresno County MTAC Piano Solo Competition and the Central California Baroque Festival which she currently chairs. Carol has served on three State Boards of Directors and also on several Fresno County Boards of Directors of MTAC.
